Com mais de 18 disciplinas e desafios diferentes, Summer Stars cobre uma ampla gama de esportes de verão. Os jogadores podem provar seu talento em modalidades como salto triplo, mountain bike, mergulho ou corrida e se tornar um atleta de ponta no modo carreira. No modo multijogador, eles podem competir diretamente com até três amigos ou familiares em tela dividida – proporcionando uma experiência emocionante de “só mais uma tentativa”. Summer Stars também deixa aos jogadores decidir até que ponto estarão fisicamente envolvidos no jogo: o jogo suporta controlos tradicionais de estilo arcade, bem como controlo de movimento via Kinect para Xbox 360, PlayStation Move ou Wii.
